Higher Education Minister Mool Chand Sharma stated on Friday that various new courses, including a postgraduate diploma in national and cyber security, have been added to Haryana government colleges starting this year. He added that some government colleges have also started offering PG diplomas in defense journalism. According to a formal statement, Sharma stated that the government has initiated the PG diploma in national and cyber security at Government College, Shahzadpur in Ambala and Government College, Kharkhoda in Sonipat for the 2023–2024 academic year.
In addition, he stated, the Government Colleges of Kharkhoda and Jhajjar have introduced PG diplomas in defense journalism. According to Sharma, 37 state government colleges have begun offering new courses and subjects. Nine colleges have also seen an increase in enrollment. In Government College Ratia, Fatehabad, Government College, Farrukhnagar, and Government College, Sector 9, Gurugram, an additional 80 seats have been added.
