IIM Kashipur, Max Healthcare to launch PG Diploma in Hospital Management

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur today signed an agreement with Max Healthcare Limited to launch a postgraduate diploma programme in hospital management. The pact was signed by Kulbhooshan Balooni, director of the IIM Kashipur, and Umesh Gupta, senior director (human resource) at Max Healthcare Limited.

The IIM Kashipur said the nine-month PG diploma programme will cater to executives and managers looking to develop and enhance their expertise in hospital operations. The signatories also decided to conduct joint research, seminars, and other academic collaborations.

Kunal Ganguly, dean (development) of the IIM Kashipur, said the admission of first batch of the programme will start by the end of this year. The classes will be taken by faculty from both IIM Kashipur and Max Healthcare, along with the provision of hands-on training at the Max hospitals, he added.

“This collaboration is a milestone as it provides IIM Kashipur to diversify its programmes and contribute to the healthcare sector,” he added.

Umesh Gupta, senior director (HR) of Max Healthcare, said, “In response to the rapid growth of the healthcare industry and increasing demand for skilled operations managers in hospitals, we have meticulously crafted a blended program. This program seamlessly integrates live lectures delivered by distinguished faculty from Indian Institute of Management Kashipur, insights from senior management at Max Healthcare, and cutting-edge e-learning content. This unique blend of knowledge, digital tools, and techniques, combined with hands-on experience gained through immersion at Max Healthcare, equips participants with a comprehensive skill set.”
